Amy McGehee

I am a native Georgian, born and raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I attended the University of North Georgia, where I earned a master's degree in mathematics with an emphasis on applied mathematics and education. After college, I began my career in education, working in both public and private settings, with a focus on high school, technical school, and university-level instruction.

In 2014, I transitioned into the construction industry, joining a friend and colleague in a design-build firm, where I led the financial and project management aspects of the company. Two years later, our family took a leap of faith and moved to Montana to embrace a slower pace of life, away from the hustle and stress of big cities. I continued working remotely for the design-build firm for three years before joining a local construction company in the Flathead Valley.

In 2019, I designed and built my own home in the valley, contributing significant sweat equity by completing everything from drywall in—excluding mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This hands-on experience deepened my appreciation for the construction process, attention to detail, and quality craftsmanship. My growing passion for real estate and construction led me to earn my real estate license in Montana. I've developed a strong understanding of the local market, industry trends, and built a network of trusted contacts.

When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my horses, backpacking and hiking in the mountains, or pursuing my powerlifting goals.
